Here I am trying out some of the pole top pins just pounded into the ground to support small distribution insulators. I learned you can't just hammer them in because the threads are lead and will deform. I used an ugly one of the plastic insulators to screw on to the pin to hammer it in then replaced that with the one I wanted to display. I'm not real thrilled with these, these are the short pins and they aren't very solid if you touch them.
