Another strange looking fungus / mushroom growing under the bushes in the front yard. This one just aoppeared in teh last day or two, after a bit of a rainy spell. It is about 8 inches across.

Dunno if it's edible or not, I'll play it safe and vote for "not" for now.

Update: The local mushroom expert came by today for a visit, (and a forage) and he deemed this one as very good eating, so I let him cut and take it. He told me that it is called a "spirosis" or something similar.
