They may have taken a favorite pole but I made sure I got the good part back! Here is what I got as found and re-assembled. The crew did not know that I lived so close and came over to look at my insulators. The foreman had never seen a standard size 3 section multipart on the ground before and was amazed. Then I went in the house and brought a Muncie glass job out for them to look at. The foreman had to hold it and was just blown away by the long wooden pin and the age and looks of it! They then concluded that I wasn't just a guy with a few insulators but a genuine serious "nut case". Then the foreman saw a pumpkin Lapp multi with the 1931 date, and confessed that he had a smaller Lapp marked just like that! Another lineman remarked that he had collected a few like I have over the years also. Then they went to lunch and I am sure that I was a topic of some discussion!
