I received a parcel today from North Carolina today containing 4 larger size insulators. The insulators were very well wrapped and arrived safely. In fact they were so well packaged, I'll swear you could have safely bounced the parcel on the ground. No, I didn't try. The best part was the shipping cost. From North Carolina, U.S.A., to Merritt in the mountains of British Columbia, where the snow has just melted, it cost only $9.91 . The parcel was shipped USPS First Class International for $9.91 What truly amazed me was the seller went out of his way to get the best possible postage rate available. The carton was a 8 1/4 inch cube. Totally square for all 6 sides, and it held the 4 insulators securely It can be done, and it can be done cheaply. You can see the postage meter stamp from the issuing post office for $9.91 That's 4 larger insulators, shipped internationally, across the continent for less than $10.00 Who knew??? I'm always amazed by the postage rates quoted by people who supposedly know the Post Office rates. I'm also amazed by folks like Carol McDougald who continuously surprized me with low shipping costs. So, whether you sell on ICON, eBay, or privately, next time you have an out of country buyer, ask what the USPS First Class International rate is. You might be pleasantly surprized. And so will your buyer |
