Clearly embossed on the lower side is: MACOMB. Made by the Illinois Electrical Porcelain Company. In a typical glaze for them-blackish gray, with tan brown highlights. This odd sized one measures: 4" long, and 2" tall. The glaze rest area has two parallel 1 7/8" long ridges to keep it elevated during firing. Odd.
