BCER car 1304 in service, waiting at the Chilliwack, BC station in 1950. This car usually ran in 2 car trains or more on the long route from Chilliwack to downtown Vancouver, BC. The car has 4, 100hp. Westinghouse electric motors and was capable of 70 mph. speeds. I remember operating this car at our museum years ago, and could feel the tremendous power of the 56 foot car. But, we never had enough length of track to attain full speed! Luckily, it had excellent air brakes.
