I finally finished building my lighted display unit for my 731s and other pieces. I built it out of poplar and finished it in dark red mahogany. My wife told me that if I was going to build it for the living room, it had to look like a piece of furniture. That scared me since it's the first piece of furniture I've built. She's happy and I like it, so I guess mission accomplished. It made a nice winter project in my garage.

I built the little storage cabinet below to match for it to have a solid place to sit and be off the floor. I built it out of aspen and stained it the same color.
