I recently installed these small multiparts on my shop building to dead end the wires for my yard pole line (see next photo). The "Flappitybacks" (Brent Burger's term for these) are; Top-Pittsburg M-2141, Middle-Thomas M-2230, Bottom-O-B M-2141. The brackets are common old R.R. type transposition brackets which I modified for use. They are galvanized and will last here in the "rust capital" of the west coast. I cut the extra pin brackets off with a carbide tipped hacksaw blade. It worked great but still a lot of work hand sawing. I got obsessed and finished the job in a few days. I am now waiting for some wire I like. Since most of us residents here all have emergency power generators, I get the impression my neighbor thinks I have a "megawatt" generator in there! |
