Much better! I cleaned it by first loosening the lime by applying hydrochloric acid with a small toothbrush. I tried to keep the acid off the actual cement joints... (you can see some remaining lime up inside). Then I scrubbed it with a Brillo Pad (steel wool). Finally I rubbed it with a cloth using a paste-like product meant for cleaning the lime deposits off shower doors (product name is "Pro-Clean"; unknown ingredients). It worked really good, bringing even dull areas to a shine. |
