About 3/4 of my record collection pictured here. Represents about 25 years of collecting. To my surprise, many LPs have jumped in price drastically over the past ten years. If I liquidated everything, I might just be able to pay off my mortgage... Some of the insanely rare rarities I have includes: Original 1st pressing of Velvet Underground & Nico with banana peel intact and photo of actor on back (airbrushed out after 1st pressing). Mickey Hart - Rolling Thunder picture disc with Mickey's autograph. The Guess Who - Live at the Paramount autographed by 3 of 5 original members. Sandy Denny 5 record box set. Frank Zappa "Beat the Boots" No.2 box set. Gentle Giant - In a Glass House original screen print overlay cover. Dirty John's Hot Dog Stand - one and only LP, very very obscure Boston band, now selling for hundreds of $$$. Bob Dylan - Great White Wonder bootleg - the first ever bootlegged record, an original pressing complete with hand-typewritten track listings. Nurse With Wound - several LPs and singles (sale prices I've seen vary between $30 - $100 per album). Original pressings of Pentangle records autographed by Bert Jansch. Several Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna albums autographed by Jack Casady & Jorma Kaukonen. Uriah Heep - Demons & Wizards with full press kit and band photos included. Mono copy of Happy Jack by The Who. Super rare white label promo copies of Yes' first and second albums. Mono copy of Blood Sweat & Tears first album... Original blue label pressings of several Frank Zappa & Mothers of Invention albums on the Verve label. Egg - The Polite Force on the Deram label, 1970, super rare. Legendary Pink Dots 4-disc picture LPs box set. And the list goes on and on... |
