ANSWERED: Piece is not a {MLOD} over the dome what you have there is a piece with what is referred to as straw lines or slight folds in the glass unforunately doesn't add really any value ther than conversation piece. From Craig Boehm HEMINGRAY 16 CD 122 MLOD MLOD Wanders, splits, paralells, disappears. This item is in very good condition and includes the wire clip. Even all the SDP's are in good condition. The marvel of this unique MLOD you can see in the pictures. Starting at bottom of skirt between "16" and "MADE", The mold line starts from the skirt in normal fasion and heads up to the middle/edge of the upper wire ridge. However 1/4" before the mold line reaches the lower wire ridge, it splits off to the right for 3/4" then one line keeps going in to the curve of the lower wire ridge and disappears. The other continues upward toward the dome now off center, paralells the original mold line through the wire grove and disappears into bottom of top wire ridge. Above that it re-appears and goes across the dome still off center and again disappears at the far edge of the dome. The mold line on the other side starts from the upper wire ridge and continues normal center to bottom of the skirt. So how do you classify and price some oddity like this? More pics available, just ask. |
