Bridgton & Harrison Railroad Commemerative 1938

This commemerative piece of rail was my grandfather's "Edward Gay" His name is embossed on it. This side has the names of those that built the locomotive and the railroad. Baldwin Locomotive No 8- 2 Ft gauge built 1924 Norman Lippincott N.J. Harry Whitaker Oxford, Stanley Whitaker Oxford, Henry McWay Shrews. Edward Gay Worc. Walter Tibbetts Oxf. Jack McCullough Worc.

I learned that locomotive No 8 fell of the tracks and rolled down a hill later to be scrapped for the war effort. Please see second posting for more information.
