Just a couple years ago if you had asked me about suspensions I would have replied brown porcelain or white?

Since then I have found an unbelievable number of styles, manufactures and colours, not just in porcelain but glass as well. I have gone through this pile and found 70 different ones, not counting colour varations.

Over the last two years I have collected a number of suspensions in preparation for a sculpture I had planned to finish this year. All sizes, shapes and colours in glass and porcelain. . This picture shows many of what I have adopted, found, traded and bought. Some strings not shown are the carnivals ( looking for some in the smaller sizes), Jim Decker greens and others from overseas, England, France and Australia.

The sculpture is designed to hold approximately 240 suspensions, more or less depending on what I can collect. There are a few that I don't have that I would like to get, (hint, hint) but will go ahead with what I've got when it's time to assemble this thing.

The only ones that I have extras of are [id=213288124]. One of which is shown at the top of the foremost string.

Thanks to David Robbins, Bob Scafe, Lou Hall and many others who have offered their surplus suspensions.
