An electric powered freight motor car makes it's way through an overwhelming amount of brush as it hauls a boxcar from Gresham (near Portland) to the town of Boring, Oregon. The passenger service was still operating from Portland to Gresham in this 1944 photo but was freight only further out on the line. I had heard that part of the line was neglected....but this badly? How about hiring some brushcutters?
