On one of about 20 of my (functional!) outdoor display poles as you enter my driveway is this gorgeous cobalt blue Hemingray "seeing" a second life...in service...here!! The piece actually has a LOT of damage and has been reglued in at least three different locations however there's no glass missing. Further, this "sad" but extremely colorful insulator sits "very happily" as a mock ressurection of how these adorable jewels looked in their day. A lot of them were placed in service in the Midwest as series street lighting circuit markers/delineators. I have reconstructed a typical scene with a small porcelain "breaker" style insulator from which a wire on each side led down to the street light (this is not visible)

PS...That's an original four-pin "pipe pole" c. 1915 in the background with a nice Hemi Blue CD 164 on the bottom right.

Enjoy ;-)
