Great real photo of one of this aspiring Cape Cod community's residential streets. Note the windmill in the background. Telephone open wire is evident on the right with electric service lines on the left. There are still many quaint little streets exactly like this throughout Cape Cod and the Islands (Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket). Other than some paved streets (the rest are light gravel mixed with crushed white seashells) the only other thing that differs is the overhead line construction. Historic houses are plentiful in many Cape Cod towns and they retain their original appearance and charm.
