Here is the view looking at the 'front' of the LRIs. That is, looking at the vertical groove for the lightning rod or ground rod. The rod was secured to the LRI with small wires wrapped around the upper side groove. The bracket fit into a notched cavity on each side. There is a lighter area on each side of each insulator about 3/8ths of the way up the side. The Embossing is visible on each. The right side of the groove has PAT, and the left side of the groove has APLD// FOR . The one on the left is 2" tall and 1 1/2" across the base. Unfortunately, the LRIs kind of sank into the gray carpet I used for a contrast in color. The bases are not too visible. LRI on left a recent purchase. The LRI on right was possibly purchased in MA in 1995.
