I wanted to expand the water lines on my property but was reluctant to dig ditches and bury them. So, I decided to use Dig Corp. (trade mark) poly drip tube and the 90 degree elbows and in line splices made for it, instead. The question then became what to mount it on. The answer was...why not insulators? I have plenty of them! This photo shows part of the line tied on various multiparts that I already had in the yard. When you have some of them with the pins cemented in, there is never much choice other than to stick them in the ground. This section of the line is tied on to an O-B M-3620, a Locke M-3155, a Westinghouse M-3172, three Victor M-2435's, two Pittsburg M-3150A's, an O-B M-2754A and a Thomas M-2614. Other insulators other than multiparts are also used. To see the rest of it, click next. |
