The embossing on these is actually: Patent/Feb.5.1850 There are at least three molds for this style. This one I've termed 'A'. One characteristic of this one is the right side of the tab points at the left edge of the letter E in Patent. Also, the E in Feb has long 'arms'. The 5's are better styled than on styles 'B' and 'C'. Previous ownership unknown. Color is a typical deep green.
