This was a large planer located in the Machine Shop at East Broad Top RR, Rockhill Furnace, PA. The guide told us the whole table moved back and forth to make the rail track. He said they didn't have all the safety features set up back then, like we do (everywhere) today. But still, he said there were very few accidents at this shop; people had more common sense back then! The rule of the shop was, if you did have an accident, you were fired.
