When the BNSF means "HOT FREIGHT" they mean it...... This GE DASH 9-44CW, BNSF 4104, got a little hot while running through Southwest Texas. The only good thing was that the engineer and conductor were able to get their train stopped and got this burning locomotive set out on a derail side track and than get thier train in the clear of the burning locomotive! The only damage was to the Locomotive. This took place in early April, 2007. The location is Dunley Texas, the tracks are the old Southern Pacific Sunset Route now owned by the UPRR. This section of track has several trains a day using it.
