Thomas "Fishtail" suspensions

This is a picture of what the suspensions look like. As far as I have been able to determine, this one line is the only place they were used, and then only at jump points. Only a couple have survived. They appear to have been made by Thomas, judging from the colors and the fact that the lower surface has a visible fabric texture, much like the "blue jean" impression in many Thomas inner skirts (but no seam as the surface is close to flat). I'd date them to approx. 1910. Another picture... [id=163746923].
