The CADIZ RAILROAD was a shortline that originated in Cadiz, KY and ended in Gracey, KY where it connected with the Illinois Central. Owned by the White family in Cadiz the line was discontinued in the 1980's and all of the trackage since removed. This undated photo shows Cadiz #8 a 4-4-0 steam engine used for years by the line. When the line closed down, they were using 3 ALCO S1 diesel units for their power.
