This is a tough insulator that is seldom offered. Usually the embossing is so weak that it get passed over as unembossed. Not so with this piece. Embossed W. BROOKFIELD over 1 over 55 FULTON ST (all very readable embossing) over NY (light embossing). On the reverse side of the dome is the Cauvets Patent which is still very readable but lighter than the Brookfield side. On the base toward the left side there is a chip, cresent shape, 1" long and about 1/4" deep at the mid point. I'm guessing that the insulator has been tumbled because of the smooth edges on the chip. The glass is really clean and presents itself extremely well. The price guide suggests a value of $800 to $1000 but I'm offering here on Icon for $450 delivered to your door. I thought this was a great buy, but I'll take $50 less, so now 400 bucks gets you one tough to find threadless.
