I wanted to post these photos of some suspensions I found. They're off of and old 55 kV line. When i got them home I noticed something interesting. There were 3 names scratched / engraved in the metal cap on three of the 4 insulators on one chain (dead end pole so extra disc per phase). The names are 'ART' 'BILL' and 'RED'. Was this done by the line crew that installed these back in the early '40s? Or by someone in the factory back in 1937-8?
