Hi all, I know someone out there can help me with this! My dad got these two pieces in a box lot with other insulators at a consignment sale this weekend. In researching them, I found out this is a transposition, CD 190 and CD 191. The top part is a kind of emerald green color (darker than a 7-Up bottle). It is embossed on the dome P.R.R. with an error on the last R. It looks like it was stamped a half line above the other letters, then slightly blotted and then the R was restamped and placed correctly in the lineup with the other letters. The bottom part is more on the aqua side in color and embossed on the side of the skirt with what looks like an old style letter B. I haven't gotten around to cleaning these yet, so I hope my photos show up ok. Now on to my questions: In regards to the color issue, what are the chances that these two pieces really go together? Does anyone think they were really used together on the line? Would this be considered a set? My dad wants to sell these, should I list them together as a unit or are they two separate pieces to be listed as such=separately? What would the value be? ANY help with this at all is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Marjorie Nelson P.S. I'm adding another picture of these two pieces all cleaned up, you'll see the color difference better... UPDATE: I've heard from a couple of people about this one...many thanks to all of you that took the time to look and respond. I'm now on a mission for my dad to find a matching bottom CD 190, embossed on the Front Skirt ONLY with a 'B'. I still don't know for sure if this PRR top is considered green or emerald green....Is there anyone out there that has a spare CD 190 in green or emerald green that is willing to give me return privlege in case I'm color blind? If so, email me privately...thanks again!
