Here's BNSF train Q NYCLAC (New York City to Los Angeles) on 2-12-2006 at Niota, IL. This train normally runs with NS power, such as seen here, since the NS brings it to Chicago and the power stays with the train. Such things as this are the reasons you will also see a lot of BNSF power on the NS. These things balance out. The lead unit is a new GEVO which has been put into service before being painted. NS paints them at a different facility than where they are manufactured. Since they are put into service right away, they run around in the "gray ghost" scheme until they make it to the paint shop. http://n691lf.rrpicturearchives.net |
