All this talk about Hemingrays with amber lines at the mold line got this Brookfield a little jealous. Offered is a CD 126 [310] Brookfield blob top with an amber line starting at the base, running across the mold line into the dome. This one has the W. BROOKFIELD and the CAUVET embossed in the arc which has a little more character than the straight line embossed ones. It also has the July 25, 1865 patent date which is the earliest patent date you'll find on a Brookfield. This one was slightly double stamped out of the mold making the mold number 'O' look like a "9". Parts of the words BROOKFIELD & CAUVET show the ghosting / double letters. There are no "9" mold number CD 126 Brookfields that I am aware of. The piece has 1 small base flake. Sold for $10.00.
