This picture was also taken by Scott Raetzloff sometime in the early 1980s. It shows a St. Louis bound Louisville and Nashville train about to cross the diamonds of the Illinois Central Gulf at Ashley, IL. This scene actually has changed very little. CSX runs the L&N for now, although a shortline will be taking over at the end of 2005.
