From the NIA Altered Exhibit comes this comparison shot of an authentic Maydwell 20 milkglass (left) next to an irradiated sample (right). Maydwell milkglass insulators vary from solid white to those with swirled patterns. This irradiated sample was solid white and took on a fairly solid brownish tone after radiation exposure. Those with swirling will likely display varying brown tones within the swirling when exposed to radiation. We hope to have a new swirled sample added to the exhibit in the near future.
