Recently we put up some new trolley wire at the Oregon Electric Railway Musuem in Brooks, OR. We found about 6 of these "teat rest" (referring to the firing rest) johnny balls in our collection. We then put them to use up in the air. They have an incused H logo on them that I was not familiar with. It is not the Hartford insignia, but could be Hubbard or Hubbell.
