Thermal exposure to this dark purple bar/bar pony produced this unusual reddish burgundy color. In some instances high heat exposure of light to medium purple insulators will reverse them back to colors close to their original manufactured color, prior to their natural transformation to purple by uv/solar exposure. Was this dark purple pony originally this shade of reddish burgundy prior to sun exposure? Until someone finds an unopened case of dark purple or burgundy Canadian ponys, we may never know for sure.
