I have always been partial to CSX's lower numbered AC4400CW's, and #136 is no exception (Except that it's made by GE :-P ). This error was made in either the Waycross (GA) or Huntington (WV) shops, and I've been tracking him ever since. In this picture from 1/28/05, I caught him on the point of N653-27 making the transition from CSX's James River Sub to the Rivanna Sub at Gladstone VA, taking him to Richmond then down the old SAL to deliver his coal load. A week later I saw him North through Richmond on the Piedmont Sub destined to Clifton Forge (VA) then points West. This side displays "CSXX" and the other side displays "CCSX". |
