Members are getting aboard our ex-San Francisco Muni "light rail" car 1213. This car was chosen for rides that day. It had recently started running again after being down with dirty chopper problems, so the car was hauled out this day for the fog run. These cars were built in the 70's by Boeing and only used in Boston and San Francisco. Many think that Boeing was better off sticking with aircraft! We are one of the few museums that actually have one in service. It glides the rails with a very smooth ride and it is warm inside. It is also faster than we usually want it to be!
