Hard to believe today, but Maine had an entire network of common carrier railroads with only two feet between the rails! Here we see restored Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington No.10 puff off on newly re-laid tracks that are slowly reclaiming the right-of-way abandoned in 1932. Hard to tell in isn't 1902! If you ever get the chance, go ride these trains and support these hardworking people who are putting history back on the map. Does it get any more real than modeling in 12 inch-to-the-foot scale?
