Crown Jewels of the WirePublished monthlyHoward Banks, Editor |
Crown Jewels, the insulator hobby's premiere monthly magazine, is under new ownership starting in January. Our first issue will feature a colored insert depicting CD 123 EC&M insulators; an article about how to identify which of 14 molds your EC&M was made from; several show reports; over thirty advertisements for shows and insulators, including insulators not being offered anywhere else; and a surprising article about a threadless Buzby! (see photos at the Crown Jewels of the Wire Photo Page).
Established in 1969, this internationally circulated magazine is devoted exclusively to insulator collecting, telephone/telegraph history and related collectibles. Columns feature porcelain, foreign and glass insulators, go-withs, Ma Bell's Place, Mac's Believe It Or Not, Walking the Lines, Ask Woody, Patent Office and Advertising Through the Ages, articles and letters from collectors, show reports, collector profiles and club news. FREE Coming Events listings and a Classified Ad Section are regular features. A directory of all subscribers and National Insulator Association members is available annually.
To see some of the stories and photographs that have appeared in the magazine, see the Crown Jewels Photographs section.
