In November, 2001, Abram Burnett was in Hawley, Pa. on business and tried to find the old Harloe / Hawley Glass Works. He asked around and got directions to the former site from a judge who took time away from court to help him out. The judge said that she only knew the location because her father-in-law had worked there, and added that the old Harloe buildings washed away during the 1947 flooding of the Lackawaxen River. The area today is an athletic field. The factory was located at the point designated "Dike" in this photo. Odd how such an important site can go from a busy manufacturing plant to an empty lot.
