This is a Sediver Multiglass column for use in power substations. You would normally find these holding up the high voltage bus tubes or supporting a high voltage switch. This unit is rated at 1050 Kv B.I.L. and would be used on 230 / 345 Kv systems. It is 92-inches tall, the skirts are 10.25-inches in diameter, and it weighs 342 pounds. I will start construction on the foundation to which it will be mounted on. This will be the largest station post insulator in my "yard art" display. More pictures to come.
