Among the small crop of CD 267.5 NEGM "straight-sides" that Joe and a couple other collectors purchased as salvage while the Boston "Orange Line" Elevated Railway was being dismantled were a couple that had distinctly rounded ears as shown in the photograph! In addition, there were a handful of CD 267 Unembossed and No. 4 Cable insulators that had similarly rounded ears. It is not known what the purpose (if any) of these molding variations.
