Here's a RARELY SEEN beautiful Smokey Lavender Purple glass insulator found with an unusually thick upper wire groove!! I've only seen 3-4 these in this mold and this one is the best! Furthermore, it is NOT listed in the current price guide. Notice the large earlier embossing variation as well. It wore out quickly and was replaced by the more commonly seen smaller skirt embossing style. Made using a hand press. The regular CD 154 style was made for only 4 years but this unique mold was likely a mistake or short lived experimental style. Primarily used along railroads and telephone lines.

All photos taken with full spectrum lighting. Overall excellent shape. I'd call it VNM- condition: half finger nail inner skirt chip, minor inner skirt roughness/light bruise and minor factory flakes along heavy glass overpour. Ignore the reflection on the dome in the photo, it is not damage. Super opportunity to get this rare insulator, straight from my collection to yours! SOLD. Thanks.
