Jeffery Mine Insulator in Colorado on a rock

This is the second Jeffery found on the same day. To see the other: [id=90579392] The amazing thing about this insulator is that it is in much better shape than the one attached to the tree, even though it has been banging against a rock for who-knows-how-many decades!

We returned to the site - my nephew spotted the side pin that this insulator was mounted on a nearby tree. The pin was well weathered with lots of lichen.
