A pair of early CD 133 [230] Brookfield insulators with the Cauvet's Pat July 25, 1865 date ONLY on the back. The embossing on both sides of both is exceptionally strong, about the best I have ever seen. These are among the earliest threaded Brookfield insulators. Made in the late 1860s - early 1870s. These are from 2 different '3' molds. Both are damaged. The green aqua one, which is the rarer color, has 3 frost pops on the wire groove and a no glass missing base fracture. It has some milky swirls as well. The blue aqua one has a stress crack from the base up to the dome. Price $25.00. Additional pictures on request. |
