This picture is of an aqua MLOD CD 127 embossed "W. Brookfield 55 Fulton St" on the front dome and "PATd Apl 4 1871" on the back dome. The interesting feature is a lip on the lower wire groove. I only found one of this mould variant on a pole located about a mile North of Montezuma, GA. I believe this must have been a transition style which was made just prior to the mass manufacture of the CD 127 W.U.T. Co. which also had the lower wire groove lip. Although this particular unit has some bubbles and creases, the glass is very clean for an April dated Brookfield. I also believe this is a very rare mould variant as this is the only one I've ever seen. Does anyone else have this CD 127 April 71 date mould variant in their collection? See [id=82134430] to compare this mould variant with the standard CD 127 April 1871 "knob" dome variant. |
