This is a tall CD 127 embossed "W.U.T. Co. / Cauvets Pat / W. Brookfield" on the front dome and "Feb 22 70 / No 55 Fulton St N.Y." on the back dome. This MLOD unit has a "cross" mould mark on the top of the dome and an "O" on the front skirt. It is shown versus a shorter CD 127 embossed "W.U.T. Co. / Cauvets Pat / W. Brookfield" on the front dome and "Feb 22 1870 / 55. Fulton St". If memory serves me, I found mould marks between 0 and 14 (note that I never found number 13 mould mark). The shorter version shown in the picture has a 12 mould mark. I have looked at several 1000 CD 127's on the Central of Georgia Railway Western Union Telegraph line. The point that I would like to make is that over 90% of all the CD 127 W.U.T. Co insulators were either the tall version with a slight skirt flare or the shorter version with a more straight down skirt. The remaining 10% were H. Brooke's, WUP's, no embossing, Brookfield three piece mould, Brookfield April 4, 1870 date, and Brookfield April 4, 1871 date insulators.
