This is a CD 127 embossed "W.U.T. Co. / Cauvets Pat / W. Brookfield" on the front dome and "Feb 22 70 / No 55 Fulton St N.Y." on the back dome. This MLOD unit has a "cross" mould mark on the top of the dome and an "O" on the front skirt. It is a nice blue-aqua color with very strong embossing - not typical of these insulators. This was the most common of the W.U.T.'s. Typically, they were either tall with a very slight hint of skirt flare or they were a shorter mould style with a more straight down skirt profile. In the next picture I will show the two different styles which represent at least 90+% of all the CD 127 W.U.T.'s which were found on the Central of Georgia Railway Western Union Telegraph line. Although the CD 126 style was widely distributed through out Georgia, the CD 127's were only found on the section of line which ran South from Macon, GA down to Albany, GA. In the next picture, I will contrast the two most common CD 127 W.U.T's. See [id=82046293].
