This is a CD 126 which is a MLOD crown embossed "W. Brookfield (arch) / New York" in a nice blue-aqua color. There are no mould markings. It was found on the Central of Georgia Railway telegraph line which ran South East from Fort Valley, GA to Perry, GA. I believe this was a more modern telegraph spur because there were no very old early telegraph insulators. I found six to ten of these along with many skirt embossed W. Brookfield (front skirt) three piece mould CD 126's. I believe this is a fairly rare CD 126 W. Brookfield because I have only seen two of these for sale in the last 15 years. It would be of interest to find out how many there really are. It's also interesting to speculate when and why Brookfield decided to utilize the three piece moulds?
