These are three CD 126.3 all embossed W. Brookfield / 55 Fulton St N.Y." on the front dome and "Pat Feb 22nd 1870 / Jan 25th 1870 / Jan 14th 1679" on the back dome in various shades of green color. All these insulator were found on the Central of Georgia Railway telegraph line which ran West from Fort Valley, GA to Columbus, GA. There were many aqua to blue aqua CD 126.3's on this line and this was the most common embossing. The CD 126.3's in nice green colors were rare, but there were a fair number of green to olive green CD 126's which were found on this line. From the left side the "medium mint green" is shown followed by "light apple green", and "light yellow olive green". You will note that the mould on the far left is slightly taller than the middle insulator and the middle insulator is slightly taller than the insulator on the far right. I only found two other CD 126.3's in green shades which were traded into the hobby. |
