This is a CD 149 "Burbrook" style insulator embossed "Brookfield" on the front skirt and "New York" on the rear skirt in a nice green with amber swirls. It is a three piece mold with no mould marks. Very strong backlighting was used in this photo in order to bring out the nice amber swirls. This insulator was found South of Macon, GA on the Central of Georgia Railway telegraph line. I found this insulator on the lower tier with the signal power insulators. There were only a few used in this section of the line. Most were Brookfield's, but there were several no embossing units. Most of the Brookfield's were dark aqua to green and the no embossing units were mostly lighter aqua. There was also a U-188 porcelain "dry-spot" insulator that was on the same power insulator tier where this Brookfield was found. The CD 149's were very good traders and I think I put eight to ten into the hobby. If you have an interest in the CD 149 I would refer the reader to the fine research article written by Mr. Woodward.
