In the following series of posts, the four different types of CD 131's found in Georgia will be shown. These early "signal" styles include: Tillotson; W. Brookfield - 55 Fulton; W. Brookfield - 45 Cliff; and a CD 131 No Embossing. All of these insulators were found on the Central of Georgia Railway telegraph line. Although some were found South of Macon, GA, most were found on the line which ran North out of Macon to Griffin, GA. The CD 131 represented in this picture is embossed "L. G. Tillotson (arched) / & Co. / N.Y." on the dome and BROOK'S PAT on the upper skirt. The color is a beautiful blue. There is a {MLOD}, but no mould mark. These were very large and heavy as will be shows in a later posting which contrasts size. I trade two additional like this one into the hobby.
