My son Mackenzie and I were traveling through Ohio a few weekends ago to do some train watching when we noticed a bunch of crossarms and poles near a barn. We did a quick u-turn and went back to investigate. The fellow that owned the property said the power company had just left them there and didn't mind if we had some of them. Picking through them, we thought this Kimble was chipped at first. Looking closer we realized it was just deformed from being set on something before it had a chance to cool. Not too common for a more "modern" insulator.
